I recently downloaded two full length movies for me & the
kids from limewire. I get them as far as the desktop but
I still can't play them. All attempts say wrong file
format (.mov) what can I do to be able to plat & record

If I want to play a file on WMP on the internet, like if I
want to play a video or listen music, it will start to
load up but all it shows is the word ready and it won't do
anything else, what can I do.

Since updating to XP Service Pack 2 I can no longer play any MP3 files in
Media Player. I get a "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is
either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to
play." and more info gives me a "0xC00D1199: Cannot ...

Can anyone help? Am using Windows media encoder 9 to output a single WMV file
from an avi source. The source file is 720 x 576, I've set the encoder to
resize to half the dimensions, selecting 'custom' resize but the output is
always the same as the input no matter what resize ...

My Windows Media Player 9 has been functioning marvelously...until a few days
ago.
I opened the player, went to my usual playlist, clicked on a song; that
song, along with all of the songs below it , became highlighted orange with

I keep getting critical updates for Media Player Script Commands (KB828026),
but I would like to remove Windows Media Player because I use Real Player. I
went into Settings, Control Panel to remove it. I also removed it by
unchecking the box with the XP CDRom.

Is there a discussion group focusing on Windows Media Service Providers? I'm
interested on how other providers are using Windows Media services on their

The new window media player should include a color morpher that changes the
colors automatically!!! this would be a big hit with alot of people and it
would have like an ON / OFF button so you can keep one color or have it morph

My media player used to rip tracks from shop bought pre
recorded CDs in seconds now it takes minutes - I have
also installed Media Jukebox to check how that performs
and that is very fast - how can I speed up Media Player 9
