I've got WMP10 with WINXP, and when i try to play certain video files, i get
somewhat of an error. At first i wasnt able to see any video but i fixed that
with one of the posts. Now i can see video but hear no audio. What should i
do? I tried the l3codeca thing, but it never ...

I can't seem to download album information from the internet.  I have Windows
Media Player 10.
The steps I'm taking are as follows:
1. Pop in my CD

Every time I insert CD in drive, WMP tries to open, but get message, "WMP
encountered an error when reading the CD-Rom drive in digital mode".  Gives
option to select OK to switch to analog mode, but nothing gets changed.  All
options that I have are not checked for digital mode. ...

When  I bring the player up it gives me a double playlist and immediately
gives the error.  You can play the last thing on your playlist but nothing
new.  Anyone able to help thanks. D

I haven't had this problem before, and I'm not sure what's wrong.
Basically, I tried to burn some .MID files (which I created myself) onto a
CD with .mp3 files. The .mp3 files burned fine, but the .MID files gave me
error messages. I don't understand why. I went up to the Options ...

There is a bung in WMP that when you resize the window down to "mini" mode
(not the taskbar mini player mode), when I hover over the apply skin button,
it says "Synchronize content to your portable devices" but it applys the

When I enable my Soundmax soundcard to 5.1 Surround and then connect the Pc
via SPDIF to my surround receiver I don´t get the surround sound in the
speakers. What´s wrong?

I have a windows media encoder profile, created with "Windws Media Profile
Editor". How do I import this profile into Windows Media Encoder, so that I
can encode a video using this profile? I am also trying to use the same
profile with the Windows Media Encoding Script VBScript ...

My OS is XP Home. I would like to install WMP 9 on F:\ yet there is no
option. It's C:\Program Files\ only. Is there a work around?

Help, Im running  and something has happened to Media Player, I get an
Internal Application Error warning?? I have tryed to download it again, but
nothing ive tryed is working, i still get the same error message.  I cant get
rid of madia player to install another version cause it ...

since my upgrade, I am unable to install "Picture It 95". Will I never be
able to use this expensive program, or is there a free alternative/ upgrade  
of which I am unaware?
