Win Media Player 9.0 couldn't open an .mpg file supposed to be a smvcd type.
What do I need to open it?

im  running winxp pro + sp2 and media player does not work. all i get is an
error message saying "an internal application error has occured" i can play

i am having aproblem with playing some of my video files.
some play some dont i know it has something to do with playing different
codecs
i need to find out how to turn on out side codecs.

I did the upgrade a few weeks ago.
I can't figur out how to sort my music. I know how to sort according to any
of the my chosen fields-but it doesn't sort the way WMP 9 used to.
For example-if I go to U2 under >Library>All Music>Album Artist>U2

I cannot play DVDs using Windows Media Player (tried on v.9; after failure
downloaded v.10 and continue to be unable to play).  
My system is a P4 at 2.26 GHz, with 512MB of RAM and NVidia GeForce4 MX 420
display card.  Any ideas?

what happened to the shuffle button...it looks like now to havemedia player
shuffle your music you need to go through one of the pull down menu's or use
a keyboard shortcut...no longer can you ust simply click a toggle button!

I am trying to sync my Sony NetMD MZ-N707 minidisc player on WMP10, yet it
will not show as a device. I know the unit is connected properly as the
screen says 'PC->->MD' and I can use OpenMG Jukebox to transfer files etc. Is
