Problem playing .WMV in Windows 9828 Nov 2004 20:33 GMT4
I am having problems playing most, but not all .WMV files. The audio plays
OK, but the video is blue (in colour not content!) with intermittent flashes
of multicolour patterns.
I am running Windows Media Player version 7.01.00.3055 on Windows 98. I

I'm new here. Maybe I can get some help. Neither one of my dvd rom drives
will autostart when I insert any kind of disk, data or multimedia. I have the

I can't get the player to see my iRiver iHP-120 player although windows
explorer has no problems.  Tried using <Tools><Download><Portable Device SPs>
but I can't find the drivers that they say are available.  Can anyone help
please?

I like burning cd's with WMP because it's easy to select songs by the artist,
however, somedays like today it just wasn't workin, the cd didn't wanna burn
so i ended up burning it with another program which had the Track At Once
feature....I'm not sure exactly what that does but ...

WMP 10 refuses to recognize my CD R/W drive for burning CDs.  I had no
problems with WMP 9 or with other multimedia programs (Easy CD Creator, Media
Jukebox).
Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I see many similiar questions here, and i have taken the advice of all of
them, yet, i still have the same problem ...... I have .AVI files recorded
from a logitec quick Cam, they play fine on my computer ... how ever, if i
copy them out to another computer on my in house network ...

I am the one who had the problem playing videos with WMP9.  I tried having
them resend the file and it still wont play, I even tried having a different
person send it to me and still had the same problem.

I encoded a video in media encoder using WMV9 with interlacing selected. So
I'm recording 59.94 fields per second. Not a wussy 29.97 frames- that's for
simpletons.
Ok. Just to straighten it out, a basketball game is shown at 59.94

When I try to play certain videos, it says "error getting codec" then plays
the sound but no video, or sound and just one of the visualizations. I
downloaded the Codec package from Microsoft but i keep getting the same
message. Any idea?? Thanks

I'm getting error # 80040203
When I try to play the video a box pops up after a few minutes saying "The
Enumerator Has Become Invalid".  I can see the first still shot of the video
but it will not play.  It says its playing in the lower left corner but its

so ive got all my cds recorded onto my home comp, what  i want to do is: make
cds from the playlists ive already created, all cd length...that way i have a
backup and a cd i can use in  vehicle... How come when i copy the cd to my
laptop wmp, it  doesnt remain as a playlist, but ...
