I'd like to go back to media player 9, i liked it and i had no probs unlike
media 10, but when i try to uninstall it it doesnt go away.. i even restarted
my comp... then i tried to uninstall the windows media format runtime and
said i couldnt cuz other programs depend on this.. I ...

i keep getting error code when using wmp 10, i have tried to uninstall it
through add remove program, but when i try to install wmp9 it tells me a
newer version is on my system.  I tried to find all occurences in the registy
and either it did not work or i did not get them all.  ...

I am about to get into encoding and producing windows steaming media files
and I was hoping to get some suggestions on requirements and type of hardware
you all would recommend.  Can anybody suggest minimum CPU, Ram, Video Card,

have media player ver 10.0 running on pent 4 with xp hhomne sp1 -- most of
the times avi files only play sound .. no video - the only info I get is from
media player when opening the file - it says there was an error in opening
the codec .. how do I fix this

i curse this wmp 10..i spit on it with flaming rage..when you change the
options in the device manager it only gets worse..i liked 9..wmp 9 was
fine..i turned my automatic updates off..i will look at these forums before i
get plagued with another upgrade to see how others like it ...

I am using media 10.  I have too much clutter in my library.  For example I
want to remove the catagories: year released,genre, rated songs, all tv, all
video, contributing artist, to start.  I think you get the idea.

I have a file 11.2 Mb movie file (.avi) from my Canon dig camera but it is
too large to email.  I cannot see any way of reducing its size - any help
appreciated.  Winzip only reduces the size marginally.
Using Windows XP on Pentium 4 computer with Canon Utilities installed.

Neither one of my cd/dvd drives' autostart process will  work when a disk is
inserted. I have to manually go in and start the player, be it media player
or any other. Also when I am finished using the drive for multimedia and
eject the disk, the identifying icon for the movie or ...

I cloned my hard drive to a larger hard drive and when I tried to view media
with WMP I get an inverse image on the screen. It looks all yellow and green
instead of how it is supposed to look. Can anyone give me any suggestions on
what the problem is?
