I have a HP writer 9300.  When I try to burn a CD, we always get the message; slow down burning speed or get a different brand of cd.  The CD-R disk I have burns in another computer but not on this one.  Does it make a difference how long the disk have been exposed to air?

my computer starts dowloading it (I think into temp) but does not prompt the
WMP and ready it to play. This changed when I upgraded from WPM9 to WMP10.

This is the message I get when trying to play a video file! When I go into
properties it tells me I dont have the correct drivers installed! But when I
look for the WMPlayer updates it tells me that there are no updates
