Encoding .VOB files with Windows Media Encoder 923 May 2005 21:21 GMT1
My old laptop had a serious hernia recently and had to be replaced. The new
(HP) one came with OEM WinXP Pro, Windows Media Player 10 and Intervideo
WinDVD. I installed the encoder but it crashes reading .VOB files. On my old
system it had no problems at all.

I have the following problem:
For some unknown reason, after installing a codec, Windows Media Player
9 stopped playing sound AT ALL (browser and stand alone player). Other
players worked fine.

Since a few days, whenever I play a video from a CD or DVD, the image starts
out fine, but once I try to expand the screen (e.g., full screen or theater

I have my music on a server which is connected to an amplifier. This is then
connected to my speakers which are in another room. My entire home has
wireless. I play music around the house but I have to keep walking back to my
PC to select songs or a new playlist.

I have several music DVDs (video clips, concerts etc.) that i would like to
convert to MP3 to listen to on my portable player.  Are there any plug-ins
for Windows Media Player that do this? Or if not what are the other
possibilities?

I recently Updated my sound card, before I updated I was able to play
different sounds at a time(ex.Play a game and have music running in Windows
Media Player) Now it has stopped doing that for everthing I can only run 1

I have media player 10 installed win xp sp2 everything was working fine until

My library now allows me to download audio books. They are in WMA format and
have a 21 day DRM license. I am able to download to my computer, and then to
my MP3 player to listen.  Works great.
The problem is each book downloads as one big file. The longer books will
