What kind of connection should I use to get the best quality picture when
connecting  a PC to a 50 inch LCD HD TV?  I just wanted to get some feedback
before I make the plunge.

I need to encode from a PC camera and from a jpeg image file simultaneously.
The encoder should allocate for ever input (of these 2 sources) about half
of the display that is being transmitted to the client.

I'm trying to play MP3 files via WMP 9 (9.00.00.3354) from a CD (data CD
burned with about 10 hours of MP3 files). About 90% of the tracks play fine,
but the rest all play at approx 2x speed, like an old 33 1/3 rpm record
played at 45rpm.. (guess that dates me...) I usually use ...

When I look at the email notify that I have a new response for a post, I

I am looking for some good freeware to edit the Quicktime (.mov) files I get
from my digital camera.  I need to be able to lighten the video clips, as
well as other editing and effects.  What do you recommend?

i wrote a question about WMP. I received an e-mail, stating that someone had
responded.  The hyperlink takes me to a blank screen and the word 'done' at
the bottom.

When I close a window (any window) it does not show up on my taskbar as
minimized.  It just disappears.  What could be causing this?

Whenever I try to run a program with a .msi extention I get a GUI stating that:
   Windows cannot open this file:
   File: <filename>.msi
   To open this file, Windows need to know what program...yada yada yada

Anyone here familiar with VLC please? It has taken over various file
associations I had assigned to Media Player, such as .WMV, .ASX, .MPEG
and .MP4. Oddly, using Open With, selecting Media Player and checking
'Always use...' doesn't fix this. And in VLC itself I can see no

I installed windows media 11 & since then I cannot get sound with I try to
