I have a digital ready TV tuner with my hp Slimline PC.  I chose to just wire
it directly in with Coax for now, but I have a HD DVR box with Brighthouse in
Orlando and can help but think that there is a way to get more channels and
better performance.

I'm getting an error when trying to set up my library in Media Center. The
message is "A necessary component of Windows Media Center is currently not
available. Restart Windows Media Center"
I tried restarting as it tells me to do and nothing helped that situation.

By accident, I ripped music as WMA files -- rather than mp3 like I wanted.  
So I deleted them from my library and computer.
Now WM Player won't let me rip the cds from the same cds.  The tray

Since I downloaded the latest version of windows Media Player, I haven't
been able to listen to CD's -either original or extracted - that the program
doesn't recognize. I hit Play, the cursor moves Ok but no sound comes out.

after leaving the computer on for most of the day, i have found that WM
player starts introducing crackles and fizzes into my music. these are just
simple MP3's, they dont have any restrictions on them.
restarting the PC solves the problem, but this is a real pain.
