I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I get a message from the security
center (running windows xp) that the virus protection is turned off and the
recommendation is that I turn it back on. But how?

McAfee continues to ask me to remove this program.  When McAfee tries to
delete, there is an error message saying McAfee can't remove it.  Windows
Defender can't remove it.  Adware doesn't see it.  So how do I get this out
of my computer?
