Just installed it (Build 5384). Upgrade from xp pro sp2. Seemed to install
great, although it took 3 days (kidding). Upon boot it brings me to the user
select screen. I select my username and it goes through the following steps:
1)logging on

I am having problems with getting both my msn & yahoo messenger to work when
ever i assign an account to being standard. They both however do work well
whe the user account is set to administrator.what is the trick?

Before when I did right click on any program in start menu (I mean in XP) I
had a choice there "Run as..." and I could run it as other user. In VISTA
there is only "Run as Administrator", which is not enough for me. I do not

I'm getting rather ticked off with the file system in general but this post
is regarding permissions.
I've already had to take "ownership" of various folders on my data
partitions but now I'm finding that when I create a document say in

when I have installed "vista" I have used a account that then I have
removed, and in fact does not appear between my user accounts
currently i use two account, one as administrator, protected with password,

I downloaded Vista Beta 2 and i got a e-mail from microsoft like this:
order and productkey from Microsoft Windows Vista Beta 2
and in the control panel i wanted to activate windows and if i type the key
from the email at the bottom it says:

I've checked in Vista under "User Accounts" (and several other places), and
cannot find a way to disable (turn off) Fast User switching.  I know this is
possible in XP, but what about Vista?
