We installed the notebook under one profile called "Remmicom", then we placed this notebook in to a domain. However each new user wich tries to logon now gets this message. "The service User Profile-service is preventing the logon process"

How do I go about deleting the Vista.old directory that was created when I re-installed Vista? I've tried deleting the folder and all subfolders but get an error message saying I don't have permission to delete. I've tried it through the Control Panel as well.

I am running Vista Ultimate and have an Admin account called "Admin" and 2 user accounts setup. The Admin account has a home directory currently not called Admin. Is there a simple way to rename the existing home directory without causing any issues for the account?

Good afternoon everyone, I'm a home user, and I notice that I'm getting many of these errors in the event viewer. I can't find where this error is coming from. Does anyone know what this is ? All my internet apps (mail, web, chat) seem to work

When I got my Vista Ultimate several months ago, I didn't need the sidebar so I must have disabled it at that time. Now, I have a need for it, but when I try to run it via start->search->Windows Sidebar, it tells me that: 'Windows Sidebar is managed by your system administrator.'

Hi I am the only user on my computer and every time it boots up it asks me for my password. Is there a way to bypass this as in Windows XP or am I stuck with it? I did enter a password when I installed Vista if that makes a difference.

I have Vista Home premium and am just setting up my computer. I have a workjing Administrator account and created two standard user accounts - one for my wife and I. My new PC is networked to my old PC running Windows XP - a simple two PC home network.
