Does anyone know the registry setting to retain the run history when you go to Start > Run? It is clearing itself and I want to make sure it retains the history. I know how to do it in the GUI, what I need is the registry key for this.

How does one formulate a query for help? For instance, I would like to find if there is information on the task manager page display, CPU useage. Normally (as in google/yahoo) I would type in : "Task Manager" +"CPU usage" and get a search, but the quotes and everything

In order to get rid of the irritating check window that comes up so often, on a single-user machine I have eliminated my user account, just staying as the administrator. That works fine but now I get a window opening at every startup saying "Check your User Account Settings." ...

I am the sole user on my home computer and so I assume I'm also the administrator, but when I edited a file inside a program and went to save the file wordpad told me "access to c:\ProgramFiles etc... was denied" what I want to know is why am I being denied access to my own files ...

i have vista ultimate and decided to try out the sleep function. when i woke my system out of sleep my admin password no longer worked. no new program installs, no password changes, nothing. i did open a port for vuze but that's about it.
