I turned off the UAC and now I get a nag to turn it back on every time I boot. I also get nags for defender and calendar after a Microsoft update was installed. How do I get rid of these constant reminders??

I just set-up my Windows Mail and all went well until a box popped up when I went to access my mail for the 1st time that said(windows security) and ask for my username and password. I remember my password but not my username... How do I retrieve my username?

We use roaming profiles extensively at my organization. Sooner or later, someone's going to want to get a Windows Vista machine on the domain. Currently, the only way this will work is if the user has a separate Vista profile.

When I try to uninstall programs in Vista, I get an error message that says, "Wise Uninstall at the top and the message is, "Could not open INSTALL.LOG file." Does anyone know what that is? or how to fix it?

I have a really enoying problem! The folder that I keep all my music in have turned itself into write protection and I cant turn it off!?! Every time I turn it of in properties and click on ok, exit and enter properties again its there!?
