vista seems to have finished indexing my hard drive, and it proudly tells me
i have over 4 billion searchable items.  how is this possible?  i have about
40,000 files on all drives, and possibly as much as 100,000 emails, but 4
billion is a rather large number.  where is it ...

Hi there does anybody have or has had the following problem.
When downloading files using IE7+ in the Vista Beta 2 all apears fine
however when the download has finished it effectively disapears, can't find
it anywhere even though it said it was saving in the documents folder it ...

In the Local Settings directory of my username I have have 12 Application
Data folders. One inside the other and so on. Its about 12 gigs of what seems
to be completely redundant data.
There are other places that have reduntant Application Data folderes

I have a Western Digital Netcenter external network drive. Under Vista I can
see some of the files stored there but not all of them.
On other non-Vista PC's all the files stored on this drive are viewable.
Any ideas on how I can see all the files on this drive from my Vista

Hi... I have troubles with searchin in Windows Explorer
If I navigate to C:\Windows\System32\ and search for net*.sys, couple of
files in drivers\ are found. However, If I navigate to C:\Windows, no items

while deleting files, the system launches pop ups stating that the file can
not be found and whether i would like to create it.

I'm trying to use the new BETA2 of Vista together with my old windows xp,
both x64 editions.
Problem is that I cant seem to get them running side by side, since some
files are created by XP then I need to read/write to them in Vista also,

When I run a CMD prompt in Vista and try to move files from one directory to
the other, I get access denied.  I am in the administrator group, but it
doesn't prompt me (of course).
I tried doing compatability on CMD.exe, but it is grayed out.

I have Vista installed alone on one drive and I have 5 other drives that
holds either my installed program and files, but I can not get them to be
indexed so everytime that I want to use the search feature in Vista, it just
take as long as in XP, perhaps even longer
