I use Favorites extensively in Explorer to quickly locate files in XP and really miss this feature in Vista. You can add a limited number of favorites in the "Favorite Links" window but the functionality is inferior to the tree version in IE and XP Explorer.

Am I missing something? In the preview pane for desktop search I see metadata about the item selected but I want to see a preview of the content itself. For emails and docs I should see the actual item contents! is this possible?

I am running Vista RC1.... How do i change the location of my Public / Common folders. eg Pictures, Documents, Videos & Music... When i go into the properties of the Public Pictures Folder it says i can change it but it does no have the same buttons as my personal Pictures folder ...

Jeez... I've been round and round and round the microsoft site looking to download the beta again. I had it before...had issues with it, and uninstalled it. Well just recently m;y comptuer got a really nasty virus and I went with the nuclear option to get rid of it.

Is there a way to select a new target for an entire user folder instead of just the document, pictures, music, etc? I'd like to put all my user folders on a second partition so I can reformat without the loss of data. Thanks in advance!

What is the file extenstion for Outlook 2007 data files. I suspect it is no longer .pst? I tried to import my data files into Outlook 2007 after re-install of RC1 and Ms Office 2007 and could not see where the files are located.

Is there any way to show the total file size of all files in a specific folder? I am not talking about right click - Properties. In XP the status bar always showed the size of the all files in that folders when NO file was selected... I really miss that behaviour...
