I'm trying to locate C:\Users\Rob\Application Data\Local\Virtual Store\Program Files in Windows Explorer and simply cannot find it whereas I KNOW it exists! How do I get to visualize it in WE... please help me!

Is there a program for Vista similar to the old File Manager (winfile.exe) program from the Windows 3.1 days that will work with Windows Vista? Looking for something simple and easy to use. Please do not tell me how easy Explorer is. It may be but I am asking

I've read about a new transaction protection technology for files on NTFS, by the name of txf. Does anyone know if only the server needs to be running 2003/vista, or do the work-stations also need to be running vista in order to make use of this?

How do i specify a layout for a certain folder? When I tried to enable the preview pane for a specific folder, it applies to all folders instead, which I do not want. How do I enable the preview pane for only one folder?

I just recently discovered "Copy as path" when holding down shift and right clicking a file or folder. Problem is it turns out that it puts quotes around the path so I often have to manually delete the quotes after pasting the path.

In the new Vista search implementation, what is the significance of the "Index this drive for faster searching" checkbox on the drive Properties dialog? This checkbox has been there since XP or before. Does this have any bearing on Vista search?

In the new Windows Explorer of Vista, I've noticed the absence of the "Up Folder" icon (the one that let you move up to the next level of the directory tree with one click). Is it gone forever? Was the functionality replaced by the "Back" arrow or the "Folders" pane?

I've got a 2GB video file that has the wrong file type extension. How do I change this file type? I can't do it from its Properties, or by Renaming, or from its Folder, and of course it won't open with Notepad etc. I don't have any compatible video editor.
