Folks,
   Does anybody know how to use Windows Vista Backup utility to copy my
main hdd to a smaller older ATA hdd without copying or backing up the videos
and recorded TV?   The full backup requires144 GB of room and I only have

Why is it that when clicking on my hyperlinks to files containing spaces in

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble with the "Computer" folder in Vista. The
tiles have all messed up... they're supposed to have little funky blue
free-space indicators on, and they're only supposed to take up a little bit
of room... but the one's in my Vista Computer folder don't.

I have WIN Vista Home Premium in french. I moved personal folder (documents,
contacts, video, ...) from C to D drive. All was OK except for Pictures and
videos folders. Windows always re-creates new folder in C drive. How can I
avoid this ?

I have mistakenly deleted the bluish green "downdloads" user  folder and am
unable to locate it anywhere. Does anyone know how to recreate it?

I moved my docs folder to another partition and changed the permissions so
that no other user could access it. I also changed the ownership to my user

I deleted a user account and as a result some of the files assosciated with
that user have been placed in a kind of limbo. As admin I have no access to
even see these files but they are clearly still taking up 30gigs of space,
but I niether can delete them or gain access to them. ...
