Can't sync Word documents to USB drive31 Dec 2007 21:55 GMT7
I'm writing a story, and I like to have a copy of my story with me, and
current.  To that end, I have this wonderful little USB drive, with more
storage than I'll ever need for Word documents (1G).  Problem is, Sync center
won't let me sync it with anything but Windows Media ...

Backing out of "Offline files" and starting again31 Dec 2007 06:36 GMT1
I have managed to mess up Offline Files big time.  I now have about 27 GB of
hard drive space devoted to offline files I cannot see and which I cannot
delete (when I try deleting them, while the PC works at it for a while,
nothing actually happens). One of the many less than ...
UAC (user access control)31 Dec 2007 02:50 GMT5
Is this necessary? I see it as a hack to circumvent tight code. I always
use an account with admin rights so I know when/what to install/run.
Consistent Folder Views ??30 Dec 2007 20:40 GMT3
Ok.  I'm sick and tired of Vista periodically and randomly changing
folder views on me.  One day, Windows Explorer will show c:\temp in a
detail view.  The next, it will decide to apply the "Pictures and
Videos" template and it will be in large icons.  I won't have changed
Accidently Lost word file29 Dec 2007 18:53 GMT3

The document was of course saved with the old file's title. Now I have lost
the copy of the old file and I wonder if anybody ...

Missing results in Vista Search28 Dec 2007 20:13 GMT2
using Vista Search I've stumbled across the following trouble.

If I select C:\CVSRoot and I search for some word, I see no results,
Windows Explorer Delete Button28 Dec 2007 19:58 GMT4
Is there no way at all to add a delete button to the toolbar in Windows

Make Vista look like XP with  +- nav..28 Dec 2007 18:28 GMT1
Looks like the place to ask. I simply don’t like the triangle thing to
expand folders in Vista file explorer. Is there some way to get + and -

Also the fading in and out of the triangles is quite annoying.. How do
