I have a cd that I need to read the doc files from. My adobe acrobat says it cannot read it from the cd. My last computer had XP and I had no problems. This computer has Vista. Do I need to download a program, so I can read and edit these files on this cd that I have?

My cat likes to take naps on my laptop while it's on and he managed somehow to change the name of my "my computer" to "n#@". Now where ever it should say "my computer" it says n#@. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change it back.
