Folders - read-only04 Feb 2008 23:43 GMT13
I have copied all my internet favourites folders in from Windows XP (IE7). I
didn't use a password in XP and still don't in Vista.
Now, I can't organise or add-to any of the folders in Vista. It says they
are read-only.
Indexing won't index what I am asking it too.04 Feb 2008 22:44 GMT3
I just reinstalled Vista 64.  Prior, I had specific folders chosen for the
index.  These folders are related to my work and I even chose specific
folders within Outlook 2003 instead of indexing the entire 1.3GB Outlook
file.  As such, it showed about 47,000 files indexed and I ...

I would really like to be able to change that, but I sure can't ...

Customizing Windows Vista Explorer's tool bar03 Feb 2008 14:46 GMT2
It would be handy to be able to add a few different kinds of buttons to the
tool bar.  For example, an "Add to playlist" button beside the "Play all"
button in the music folders would be very nice.  Also the ability to change
the order of the buttons, or remove the buttons.

Vista Ultimate - fully up to date.
I uninstalled a program through the Control Panel -> Programs and Features.
This seemed to remove all signs of the application from the C:\Program Files
folder, but I was left with the application with sub folders on the Start
Desktop Icons02 Feb 2008 22:30 GMT4
I put the shortcut icon of a programme on my desktop. When the time came to
eliminate the file, I removed it in the usual way.
However, I did not remove the icon and the removal process did not remove
the icon.

Issue With Hidden Files & Folders02 Feb 2008 16:50 GMT5
I have enabled viewing hidden files and folders. Still, some folders and

Odd Msg above Flash Drive file list02 Feb 2008 03:45 GMT1
My first time using a USB flash drive on my Vista PC.  After I copy say 9

Confused by Vista Backup structure02 Feb 2008 03:27 GMT2
On my Hard Drive (c:) I have quite a few folders that are labeled with the
name of a particular project, like say Project ABC.  In those folders, I have
all kinds of files about the project .... Word docs, Excel docs, PDF's,
Pictures, Drawings, even Videos in some cases.

index.
In Options For Index,  the buttons are grey. I can't press them, so I can't
change anything.
