in trying to free up space i deleted some file doubles however i only the last half was in the recycle bin...i now realise i need a file deleted in the FIRST half! Is there a way to get back the first half which disappeared?!

Occasionally when I try to perform a full backup in vista it fails. I get a vss error. Rebooting gets it to work again, but given a week or two it comes back. What can be done? Thanks!

I right-clicked on a file and opened "Properties", then I clicked "Advanced". On the pane that opened I selected "Encrypt contents to secure data", I think I then waited for the files to be encrypted. Along the line the files were copied to another disk. Since I have re-installed ...

I recently saved word documents to disc. It saved properly. Now I cannot access the file from the disc because the original file/shortcut was deleted from my computer. Can someone please help me so that I don't lose all my documents.

Vista adds the useful capability of re-directing a folder to a different location, e.g. C:\Users\Bob\Favorites to D:\Bob\Favorites. Use it to get your data away from the OS, or gain concurency from the use of two disks.

All of my shortcuts stopped working. I cannot use the HELP instructions because I can't right click on any of them!!! Also I cannot delete and create new shortcuts. Need help asap! Thanks! I found postings of this problem but no response.
