In my Vista Enterprise machine, after the SP1 upgrade, when I open the file
manager with a link to explorer.exe or with a click on a folder link on the
desktop, the file manager works normally but when I close it I get a
"Windows Explorer has stopped working" and soon after ...

How can I open a file in an already running program by double click in the
explorer?

I can only view icons, list, details and tiles.  Why can't I see thumbnails
