Size of the C Drive12 Apr 2008 16:50 GMT6
I have a 500 Gig Hard Drive on my Vista Home Premium system. The computer is
only 2 weeks old. When I right click the C Drive and select Properties, it
says 103 Gig Used. But when I look at the sizes of the folders on it, there
is only about 22 Gig of stuff in the folders.
Weird things in User folder.12 Apr 2008 04:08 GMT1
Okay, here is my dillema.
First of all, in my user folder, my Documents folder is missing. I have
no idea where it went or what happened to it. Everything that was in
there, however, somehow ended up in my Favorites folder.
errant question11 Apr 2008 21:38 GMT1
OK, I was out downloading files, for a video game) and the spiffy dialog
window kept popping up and asking if I wish to create a folder.
In the far corner was a tiny box asking if I wish to turn off this window in
the future.
Bug in Vista Briefcase11 Apr 2008 19:01 GMT4
In addition to the generally dire re-implementation of Briefcase under Vista,
another (XP/pre-XP?) issue has (re)appeared on Vista HP.
I finally caught the briefcase out - in the (badly designed) Update dialog,
the "master" version is marked as Modified, and the briefcase copy is ...
WMP11 problems with MP3 ID3 tag data11 Apr 2008 18:56 GMT1
I use a 3rd party program (MP3tag) to update the ID3 information on my MP3
files because it can do several at once. I have about 300 files that I
recently ripped from CD that were missing the ID3 tag information
(technically, most of them had ID3 tags, but it was ID3v2.4 which ...

Been reading this forum for help, but can't find my identical problem.

Vista wants to format CDs10 Apr 2008 14:50 GMT13
When I try to open a CD (*not* a CD-R or -RW) in Explorer, it often
pops up a window asking how I want to format it.  This is kind of silly
for a non-writeable disc.  If I click Cancel, it won't open the disc.
Instead I have to let it try to format the disc and give up before it ...
I deleted a file, tried to restore it, and it didn't restore.10 Apr 2008 04:23 GMT2
I clicked on restore, and it left the reclycle bin, but then it didn't go to
the original location, and I don't know the name of the files, so is there
any other way to look them up?
Thank you so much to anyone who can reply.
