I need to be able to search the contents of Word files in a set of folders to find files containing a certain word. However currently when I search a folder to find a file containing (say) "golf" (I know a t least one file contains the word 'golf'), it does not

When I search for a file with the name 2008 08jprh and type jprh or "jprh" in the search box nothing comes up. Is there a setting that I can change that will allow this search to work?

Help! I've got Vista Home Premium, and it's getting buggier by the minute! big issue now is that no multiple file select function work in any folders. I can neither drag-select, ctrl-select, shift-select with the mouse nor use the greyed-out "select all" in Organize.

Trying to open a Word file, get message "Windows can't find so-and-so file". Similarly, trying to open it programmatically in Excel VBA, I get the same message. But if I right-click and select "Open with" and pick Microsoft Windows, it works. Can someone help me?

This file has taken up residence in "my" folder. Clicking on it gets, "You don't currently have permission to access this folder" even though I am the administrator. Then I click on continue to get access and then it reads, "If you started this..."

OK. For a while now, Vista thinks ALL my folders are either music folder or Photo folders so I get Music or Photo related information in the explorer bar such as Burn instead of New Folder

Accidently deleted files in a search folder. Most ofthe original file were on the desktop. THE FILES DISAPPEARD FROMTHE DESKTOP! Can these be restored? If so, how? They are not listed in the Recycle Bin! thanks for any help.

Using the management console fro right clicking My Computer, I was able to easily shrink my C: drive by 2 gig, but when I go to expand the D: drive, "Expand" is greyed out. How do I expand D: if the menu won't cooperate? Please help; I'm stuck between the two steps.
