Delete content or tracking in "searches" folder10 May 2008 18:21 GMT2
I am running Vista Home Premium on my box.  I discovered the "Searches"
folder.  It is in the user account folder that contains all the common
folders like "Documents", "Contacts", "Downloads" etc..  It appears to me
the "Searches" folder tracks every move I make or at least ...

For some reason, my Vista Taskbar buttons for Windows Explorer windows are
displaying the *full address* of open folders. Thus, all I see is
"C:\Users\My Name\Docume..." No more than that. Every button looks like this,

The Windows Explorer in Vista had great changed from XP, it mainly uses the
thumbnails instead of classic icons.
Now medium "icon" mode is set in 48px, the minimum "medium" one is 34px. If

I have 2 Hard Drives - 1 for OS the other for Data. Since all my data is on
disk D I wanted to change the Documents, Music, and Pictires links on the rhs
of the start pane to point to the new location. i did that OK by using
properties, move location.

I have seen Vista users go through folders and files in a manner much like
what one sees on an Apple MAC.  There is a "3D" effects and the folders
appear in front of the desktop.  Looking for the name of this feature and how

I cannot seem to get any results when searching via windows vista search.  I
have tried rebuilding indexes as well as doing Advanced Searches and
including non-indexed, hidden, and system fiels.

In particular, when saving an email attachement, in this case a word file,
the default location is the Documents folder.  How could I change this in
Vista so that whenever I do a Save As, it points to my, lets say, Temp folder

Hi, just installed Vista Home edition. I'm set up as administrator, but yet

When trying to delete a file from a folder, it says "The action can't be
completed because the file is open in another program. How do I find out what
program is running that file?
