I've just tried to create a shortcut of the Music folder by dragging it to the desktop, but instead vista places a duplicate (not a copy or a shortcut) of the folder to the desktop. It gets better, i then decided to delete what i thought was the music

I've just got my new computer (Windows Vista Ultimate) and despite it coming with just one hard drive (if I'm not mistaken), when I open Computer, it displays two different hard drives: "OS_Install (C:) [102 GB free of 231 GB]" and "New Volume (D:) [465 GB free of 465 GB]".

I have a problem. In the Folder Options/View/Advanced Settings my windows Home premium, dont show "Show hidden files" only "do not Show hidden files" ?? I Run as Administrator.

I don't know what happened but all of my appointemts are gone. Every appointment I made or created have vanished. So I click on todays date (05/05/08) to create an appointment as a last resort since I rebooted and tried other means to look for my appointments or tasks as well ...

I am running Vista Home Premium box. When I opened a folder window in the middle of a folder tree in XP I often used the "Up" button at the top of folder window. I miss the "Up" button in vista. I looked and could not find how to set up this feature in vista. Did I miss it?

Importing backup file from XP into Vista. Used Microsoft utility for doing this, the NtBackupRestore_x86.msi one. It did its thing. Now I can't access the desktop - it says Location not available, and c:\users doesn't show that user as even existing. But logging in as that user

Every time I try to save an .epf file (digital certificate) on my computer, it immediately disappears. How can I save this type of file where I can access it? I have Windows Vista Home Premium version 6.0 on an Acer Aspire.
