Having a bit of a tough time learning the Advanced Query Language. I'm trying to find folders that BEGIN with something. I figured out that I should use kind:folders, but can only find information on how to query if the folder name contains something, not begins with.

I generally start my maps with the detail look (In order to find things back in several locations.) But in the option Detail windows Vista always choses to devide the columns equally over the space their is. I want to change this setting so windows

My XP laptop developed a graphics fault, so I took the HDD out, and mounted it in a USB caddy. I took delivery of a new Vista machine today. Connected the USB caddy with HDD therein, and tried to copy my documents to the Vista machine's HDD.

Somebody managed to associate the .zip extension in Windows Explorer with Adobe so every time they click on a zip it brings up Adobe and crashes. I cannot find a way to remove an invalid association such as this, nor can I find a way to add back the zipped file type. I have ...

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate and just compressed several large directories on Outlook 2007 and under my Documents directory in Explorer. After the compression was done, the amount of free space was less than before. Why did this happen? Is there a trick to using ...

Where are fax files stored? And why is impossible to fin any information about the location of the fax files? Am looking for the location of the actual files that are the source of the saved incoming and set fax messages?
