Not having star force install, in my opinion, would be a very good thing.

love playing) is apparently incompatible with Vista. A friend of mine was

I just tried my first game post Vista install.  It's an older game that I've
been playing again recently on my former XP box (Star Trek Elite Force II).  
Because it's an older game it fortunately shows us what it is doing at
startup so I see everything that failed:

Has anbyody managed to install the nVidia Vista driver?
I'm getting the error message that I don't have Windows Vista installed
(which of course I do).  Consequently I can't run OpenGL, etc.

whenever i try to play CS i get an error saying
video mode not supported.. must start in software mode
is this because i have directx 10 and not 9?
how do i downgrade to 9 or is there somewasy to fix this

I am using a Inspiron E1705 and it has a X1400 ATI video card in it, my other
computers which run Vista run the game fine so I know its a driver issue.  
Has anyone gotten around this?
It appears to be related to the X1400 mobility ATI drivers

anyone tried and managed to get simcity 4 working under 32bit vista? if i run
it in hardware rendering i get major graphical corruption (simcity 4 rush
hour + patch) im using the 88.61 vista nvidia graphics drivers. software
rendering works but slower.

I dont know if it is a driver issue or a vista issue. If I try to adjust the
settings in the game, there is no change. If I try to set the settings
through ATI Control Centre and then go into UT2K4, there is no change.

I just installed build 5308 and BF2 + 1.22 patch.  When I load up the game,

I have ATI Radeon 800X card with 256M. Windows gives it a good rating, yet

See subj. I don't seem able to find the location where GTA San Andreas is
putting it's savegames in
Windows Vista Beta 2. Some of the Documents folders is protected so i cannot
access them eventhough i'm Administrator.

I goto Multiplayer and update the Server List
when I start to move down the list
the screen goes into a Bad flicker.
I got the 1.3 patch installed.
