WD SATA Drive configured by Vista as a SCSI Drive04 Oct 2006 14:58 GMT3
My hard drive seems to be working overtime and when I checked it in the
Device Manager I noticed its listed as a WD SCSI Disk Drive when its actually

I have a Dell GX280 with a built-in Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset

a clean install and everything went fine.

Vaio VGC-RA 820G and Vista Media Center04 Oct 2006 04:37 GMT2
This Sony desktop gets its lowest rating in Vista RC-1 from the video card,
3.4, which is understandable, it's ATi's x300 which seems to be the
bottom-of-the-line in PCI-e vid cards.
It did work fine with the (unknown) MPEG encoder/decoder for XP Media
Adaptec SCSI and IDE periphrials.04 Oct 2006 00:00 GMT1
I was told via Email today that Adaptec has no plans to support Windows Vista
in alpha, beta, RC or final stages until after 2007!!! So what can I do if I
use the 1200A raid controller do I have to reformat my raid just to put this
on? Surely there is adaptec support in windows ...
ATI drivers03 Oct 2006 22:40 GMT1
While looking for drivers for my Radeon 7000 I found a package from
ATI with more than 70MB. This is a little bit -ehm- fantastic? Crazy?
Is there somewhere just a small driver with 600kB? I think I do not
need more!?
Logitech USB Driver03 Oct 2006 20:52 GMT5
I have a headset via USB.  Its a Logiteh 200.  Vista will not recognize this
USB headset, therefore I have no sound on my system.  My only speakers are
hooked to the main computer.  This Vista is a secondary (test) computer.
Adaptec 1200A RAID (IDE)03 Oct 2006 18:56 GMT1
Ok it says that the Vista inspect doesn't like the driver for my 1200A IDE
Raid card from adaptec, since this is function under XP SP2 will this create
a problem with Vista RC-1? I would hate to have it half installed and then
turn all my hard disk to a waste land :)
What are Vista’s hardware sweet     spots?03 Oct 2006 16:53 GMT7
What are Vista’s hardware sweet spots? I mean, what the amount of RAM,
Processor speed, hard drive speed & video card to efficiently run a business,
enterprise or ultimate Version of Vista in a business environment without

New Realtek audio drivers 30 September03 Oct 2006 14:58 GMT2
Has anyone tried these drivers yet? I am currently downloading them at a

DI-624 Router-  if I configure it - works in XP NOT in Vista03 Oct 2006 14:55 GMT8
Since going to 5728 and updating the router's firmware, if I use the
configuration wizard as I normally do then I can only connect to the
internet using XP but not Vista.
I have to keep clicking the factiry reset button to get Vista to connect!
