In Device Manager under both x86 and x64 there is one item listed under Unknown Devices.
Everything I have, both internal and external, seems to be working properly and listed under the

Has there been any update on NVidia's problem of not being able to set a
correct monitor resolution for a 1440 X 900 wide screen monitor with it's
Vista drivers?  Without the correct resoution, the screen looks terrible and
I won't upgrade if I don't think the final Vista version ...

I've recently installed Vista Ultimate. Looking in the 'Device Manager' I
found an unknown device. Upon further inspection I discovered that it is for
my Mustek 1200 UB Plus scanner.
Under 'Hardware Ids the message is: 'USB\VID_05D8&PID_4002&REV_0100 and

Here is my case...
I am an MSDN subscriber, so I installed the final version of Vista from
scratch (format my XP etc etc) on my laptop. My problem is that the
monitor on my laptop is not recognized by the system. And I do not mean

I'm about to get this great card in a few days.  I know there are no real
Vista drivers yet.  Have heard some have been able to install the XP drivers
and get some basic functionality with the card, e.g. widescreen resolution -
but no Aero.  I can live without the Aero for a time ...

I have Vista on a Dell Latitude D610 with an Intel 2200BG wireless card. The
card worked fine in XP, but in Vista (clean install) the entire computer
freezes as soon as the card is accessed. I have disabled the wireless card
and everything else works fine.

One of the ram modules in my computer has sudden developed a fault that
prevents Vista from booting up without causing a bluescreen. If I run the
memory diagnostic it says there is an error, and then the subsequent reboot
will let Vista boot up. And this is now the only procedure ...

When I was in Windows XP, I ran my resolution at 1600x1200 on a 19 inch
monitor.  To my dimay, I found that Windows Vista has locked me out this
option.  And this option, I really liked.
How can I unlock this, so I can get back to the size I am used to?  I have
