Incorrectly recognizing Plextor CD-RW as CD-R23 Feb 2007 22:37 GMT4
For some reason, Vista is recognizing my SCSI Plextor 40/12/40S CD-RW
drive as a "PLEXTOR CD-R PX-W4012S". So, I can use it as a CD-R in Vista
and Media Player, but not as a CD-RW (i.e. I can't erase discs or use
rewritable discs). It definitely does have CD-RW capabilities ...

Mobility Radeon resolution problem23 Feb 2007 17:17 GMT9
My mobility radeon 9600 worked fine with the standard vista drivers, but
after installing the official ATI driver I got a problem with the resolution.
I cannot select the native resolution, which is 1280x800. I can only choose
from 640x480 up to 1024x768.

ReadyBoost to use the Cruzer, everything appeared normal.  Shortly thereafter

Help with DVD Drive23 Feb 2007 04:22 GMT14
After upgrading to Vista Business, I was presented with a window that "Sonic
Solutions DLA" was incompatible with the current OS and was being disabled.
Although the DVD drive was still working, the windows continued to pop up
every few seconds.
Nvidia 6800GTOC (256MB) ATI Raedon X1300 (256MB) - Poor performanc23 Feb 2007 04:11 GMT8
I upgraded to Vista last week and the performance of my Nvidia 6800GTOC is
horrific.  No matter how I adjust the settings, no 3-D applications are
useable, i.e., the frames per second rate (fps) has gone from 40-60 fps (XP,
SP2) to .5 - 14 fps.
Formatting SD card23 Feb 2007 04:05 GMT1
I formatted an SD card to remove all data before writing new data to it.
After the format the 1GB card showed 600MB used space!  Any ideas wht is
"used" and how to recover the space?  Even MSDOS format <d:> /u command
didn't free the space.
