A company called transcend manufactures a device called "Disk on Module",
basically it is a flash memory module that plugs into the ATA/IDE socket of a
motherboard. I have one with 4GB. Can I use it as a readyboost device to
improve Windows Vista boot time?

Windows upgrage advisor stated this device should work. Vista installs the
driver, but comes back with message the driver did not install correctly. I
tried to update driver, but vista states this driver is uptodate.  anybody
have any suggestions?  

I have an older Samsung phone (an SPH I330) with a built in PDA using Palm
OS.   I've synched it with XP for years.  It installs in a cradle and has a
USB connection to the PC.

I purchased a Gateway MX6426 this past December and just installed Windows
Vista about a week ago.  Now, my computer will not shut down at all.  I have
seen other posts that mention their computer doing this intermittently, but
mine seems to be an everytime occurence.

I have not been able to get the USB ports to recognize anything on this
