When connecting a flash disk vista won't install it but it's Vista Ready. It
makes the sound of a new connected device but won't find the necesary
drivers. I've installed the hotfix from the vista support mail, but still
nothing. NO flash disks seems to work.

I installed beta 2 on a laptop with X300 graphics and the Aero UI was working
nicely with transparent glass frames, 3D windows switcher, etc, upgraded to

i saved a file on my flashdisk then when i tried to 'safely remove hardware',
theres a prompt " problem ejecting USB mass storage device,...try to remove
later",i waited a couple of minutes then tried to remove, same thing prompt
appeared..theres no problem in detecting a device ...

Let me give a little background to my question.
I have a home built computer that I have used for about 3.5 years. It is
built upon an ABIT IC7-G motherboard, The disc storage controller is an

While updating Nvidia display drivers my screen goes blank while installing
the updated drivers, I uninstall current drivers as Nvidia suggested, Machine
then needs a reboot as I install updated drivers it shows program loading
then screen goes blank! Have Vista 32 bit Ult, Intel ...

Each time I turn on or reboot the computer, the hard drive keeps "working"
for several minutes after Vista is loaded. What is happening to cause this
hard disk activity and is it possible to reduce or turn off whatever is
causing it?

I have a 160G Samsung 160JJ HDD that I had been using on my old XP PC.  I
just got a new PC with Vista on it, and it recognizes the HDD but it shows

I have a spare WD EIDE HD sitting around and would like to stick it into
my HP machine. The C: drive is a SATA. Can I connect my EIDE drive
in-line with the CD drive, which appears to have the same connector? If
so, what do I set the jumpers to on the EIDE drive?

My wireless keyboard plugged into a USB port on my main monitor stopped
working.  I plugged it into a USB port on my second monitor and it works fine.
Device manager now has a yellow exclamation mark on a "Generic USB Hub" and
