i'm going to format an external HDD: in the mask that appears in Vista
i  need to choose the amount i want for the size of the allocation
file.
what does this mean? How this will influence later my HDD storage

I have vista home premium on a Dell 9200 Dimension with 2 x 250 Gb hard
drives configured to raid 0.  I get an error showing at startup that disk 0
is ok but disk 1 has an error.
I have re-installed the Intel Storage Matrix driver R158601 and the Intel

           I have Windows Vista Home Premium and can not find a driver
for my HP Scanjet 6200c.  I've contacted HO to no avail.  The HP
Tech Support informed me that no driver exist for Windows Vista,
and that there are no plans to create one in the future.

When I first bought my laptop, which was pre-installed with Vista Home
Premium all my UsB ports seemed to be operating at full speed, I could charge
and load/unload my iPod as well as utilise my external hard drives at optimum
speed. A few re-installations later, i get messages ...

A 4gb USB stick I have used successfully for Ready Boost for the past several

CPU: Intel Celeron 2.00 GHz      2.7 subscore
Memory:  1 GB                         3.5 subscore
