Hi all...So I've let my laptop overheat several times, and all of a
sudden, I found it to be slow! As molasses. I ran some utilities (PC
Doctor 5 which ships with all IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads), and that gave it a
passing grade!

I am not sure what happend to my computer but it is stuck in a reboot
loop.  I just received my computer on September 30th from dell.  I am
running Microsoft Windows Vista SP1 Home Premium Edition.  here are some
additional specs

I've got an XBox controller for Windows, a wired one, but for some odd
reason all for quadrants are lit up and flashing on and off, I have the
drivers installed from Microsoft and this never happened before.....as I
am looking at it, it is still flashing and I don't know why, it ...

That's what command powercfg -devicequery wake_armed tells me when I run it
after the machine wakes from Sleep.

Anyone else seen this?

I had two hard drives, both 120gb and HHD(D:) just disappeared with no
reason.

I've been running Vista Premium for about 5 months now. It's not a bad OS,
and I have gotten used to

Unlike XP, my external 250 gb WD HDD slows down vista boot process
considerably. Any suggestions? I am really sick of plugging it off/on during
boot..

Hey. I have 4 HDD's 2 SATA and 2 IDE.
1: Primary which is running Vista Ultimate x64 - 500gb
2: Holds important work info
3: Blank (IDE)

My list of problems just keeps growing and growing.  I am trying to install
the controller onto my Vista system & have encountered several problems.  The
latest problem is while attempting to install the software,  the
"installshield" application stops working almost instantly ...
