SENDING E-MAIL FROM WINDOWS MAIL CONTACT ADDRESS BOOK14 May 2008 09:25 GMT3
When attempting to send an email using the contact address book, everything
works fine until I click send. The message disappears but is never sent.
Using "create mail" & replying to e mails works fine. Closing windows mail
before sending doesn't seem to help. It used to work OK. ...

I recently bought a new (actually a 2 or 3 yr. old Compaq) computer and
it has Vista Home OS. I used the Microsoft transfer program and
successfully moved most data to new PC. (Old PC was XP), However, I am
having problems with mail. I use an older Outlook and I cannot send now

Just curios of everyone that uses Windows Live Mail finds it to be better
than Windows Mail and why? If I were to install it, any known problems I
should be aware of and will it bring all my settings, contacts and so on
over?

When I click on a link in a web page to contact by e-mail, the message,
'could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not
properly installed' is shown.
I've done all I can to set the defaults etc for windows mail, but it still

I've read that if you have two differant identities that all you have to do
is click the from button to swich.  I don't have a from button.  What do I
do.  Everything I send comes from the primary accounts address.
I know they all share the same inbox...

I just set up Windows mail for the first time and  e-mails from people in my
contact list are arriving in the junk-mail folder. Any solutions?

Hi, was wondering if there is anyway to add the contacts list to the main
windows mail page, like it is with outlook, ie: under the inbox, outbox, sent

I am trying to set up my gmail account and am not sure it's working because
each time I click "send/receive" I get error messages?  Could someone help?

On Vista hardware_devices and a couple of other groups using
Windows Mail as News Reader there are always Not Downloaded
Message which means if I leave the group after reading ALL the
messages the Group is still high-lighted in Black as if there were

it says cannot connect with server i have aol i set it up the way it says but
