I have experienced (on XP as well as Vista) from certain senders that
attachments do not show. There is no paperclip, but the file size indicates
to me that there should be attachments.
I am using Norton Anti Virus.

I have just set up a windows mail account and I can receive emails but
cannot send them.  When I press the send button - it comes up with a box
saying Windows Security then asks for my username and password, which I
enter, but it does not accept.

Using Windows Mail under Vista, I am having trouble with some file
types. .pdf and .jpg files both give me an error message saying that
"This file does not have a program associated ...". And yet when I go
to Control Panel->File Associations, .pdf is associated with Adobe

I guess I kind of receive email - about every two days or so.  It went from a
quick easy operation to agonizingly slow...I can only receive email
occasionally and it waits in the outbox for hours.  I uninstalled McAfee,
checked the servers (working fine for everyone but Vista me) ...

ssl is enabled. using kaspersky internet security which I have removed from
my computer.
