I try very hard to use Vista on one of my desktops. A recurring annoyance is that Vista intermittently is unable to connect to a laser printer connected to an XP machine. It sees the printer but cannot print.

I'm trying to get a wireless print server working on a Vista 32 machine. I've been told by the print server support team I must have IPX protocol installed on Vista. I've searched, but can't find anything useful - and it seems IPX may not be supported under Vista.

New to Vista, so fat finger mistakes are occurring. I somehow managed to share the whole Users folder when in fact I just wanted to share a minor subfolder on the home network I'm setting up. Now I can't find a way to unshare it.

I have had a problem keeping my connection to the Internet_____when I connect everything is OK until I want to use my browser and then I lose the connection from my server to the web (dialup connection)I am still connected to my ISP but cannot access anything from the Internet zone ...

I've searched online and know this problem exists for others, but couldn't find a solution. When I click on network and sharing it either doesn't open, or opens with a blank window then freezes.

I have a pc which has a wireless network enabled. There is an existing laptop which accesses this network. I have purchased an additional laptop and it picks up the network but I can't connect and Windows cannot identify the error eventhough all the settings are correct.

I have a little problem trying to log on to my linux server on my windows 2003 network, using a Vista Basic PC. The others PC using XP Pro and XP home are able to apen the linux server and log on succesfully.

Very new Dell optiplex 755 with Vista Biz + Intel 82566DM-2 Gigabit adaptor to 100 local home LAN and internet connection. Frequent loss of LAN connection > red cross > says network cable unplugged (but not). Switched cables repeatley with old XP PC to eliminate this.

i have been able to locate wireless networks and connect to unsecured ones, but i have been unable to connect ot my WPA-PSK wireless lan network. I tried removing the security, and this works, but as soon as i re-enable the security, it's not having it.

3 different usenet programs time out when getting large lists of articles. Even the list of groups will not finish. When I enable ECN the usenet works but http times out. any suggestions?
