Ok, so I play alot of online games such as Garrys Mod and War Craft 3, but I
can not seem to host games. I believe that I can not do this because of my

I'm finding that the names of the two computers that I network together, are
to similar and we get confused. Is it difficult to change their names? Will
this cause the network to get screwed up?

I have tried wireless gaming in Vista.  I know I know you aren't supposed to
use wireless connections when gaming but I can't not run an ethernet cable up
two stories.  
My problem is that Vista searches for a "better connection" every minute.
