I am trying to connect a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop, running Vista Business,
to a wireless network set up on a desktop running XP(sp2).  I have previously

I have a computer expierencing problem detecting wireless network in
some places.  The computer can detect network with no problem in some
places.

If I try to copy a large file (~5g or more) or several smaller files that
equal ~5g or more across the network the copy will start but eventually the
copy window will freeze and stop responding. If I try and reboot windows

every day my Vista SP1 gets disconnected from the corporate DFS share right
after I stop working with my Vista SP1 Enterprise computer for an hour.
We have two different type Vista SP1 computers in our network, and they both
behave the same.

I recently upgraded to Vista and do now experience that a VPN
connection which worked fine under XP now does not work any more.
Under XP the authentication has the value 'MS CHAP'. So I suppose that

I have 2 PCs both running Vista Ultimate.  One PC is wirelessly connected to
a router, the other PC is wired direct to the router, which is a gateway to a
cable modem to my ISP.
I can share my wireless PC's files , however i cannot share my wired PC's

Is it possible to attach media from a networked PC (using media sharing) to
an email without creating shared folders on the remote PC?
It would be nice if I right clicked in Media Player and had 'add to email'
as an option, for instance. Is there perhaps anopther way?

Thanks to everyone for suggestions, etc.
The problem was caused by RASMAN.DLL on the server being corrupt. I replaced
it from the source CD and now VPN works fine from both my Vista and XP
boxes.

I am trying to set up a home network, I have tryed everything I can do, and
everything on the tech page website. The computers are listed on my network,
but will not let me share files with them , does anyone have suggestions.

I have problems with a network printer which appears to change the  IP

Have successfully setup sharing through my router  --  internal drives and
one USB external drive (Western Digital Passport).  The network consists of 2
computers running Vista Home Premium and 1 running W2K-Pro; and a Linksys
wireless router.
