what is the difference in the 2, and is their a difference in speed...i do have a amd x64 proc, i ran windows x64, a little slow than xp, i am dual booting with xp pro and vista 64, i was woundering if their will be a speed difference if i dual boot wiht xp pro and vista 32

As the number of restore points grow, hard disk space decreases. Deletion of all but the last restore point does not seem to work. (disk cleanup function).. Any suggestions or this a bug....?????

i have both 32bit and 64bit vista installed but the 64bit was running at 90 to 100% cpu. It would not do it in safe mode and the 32bit does not run at 90 to 100%. to cut a long story short as soon as I turn UAC off cpu usage goes back to

Wanted to try backing up my Vista Beta 2 partition using the included CompletePC Backup option. It creates an image backup of the full partition (similar to Ghost). Started it up in Vista and did the image backup to an external USB hard drive. Took about 8-10 minutes to backup

I have converted VHS tapes to DVD using a VCR/DVD Recorder. The file types created on the DVD are (IFO, VOB,BUP). These are not compatible with movie maker. Has anyone else ever run into this problem and found a solution

I just installed Vista Ultimate July CTP on my Dell Precision M70 laptop. It has a 60GB HDD, 2GB RAM and Centrino processor. From the time Vista boots, till I shut it down, there is constant disk access. What is it doing? That cannot be normal..

I'm running a Dell Optiplex GX620 with a 250 GB SATA drive and I've noticed a weird thing about the disk space reporting with Vista Beta 2. I performed a Custom fresh installation of Vista over top of my existing XP setup (which may account for some of the extra data...read on) ...
