Is there a limitation on the amount of memory recognized by Windows Vista? I know in the past Windows versions it would only show a maximum of 3000MB even if you had more memory in the computer. Thanks in advance for anyones help.

When I do shutdown via the start menu, it shows as shutting down and power does go off. The odd part is (when AC plugged in and battery is 100%) if I go turn this on 2 hours later or even less (without AC) battery shows about 85% - 91% level. Why does it lose about 10%-15%? This ...

Hello. Today when i started up my computer it gave me a blue screen error, and then restarted. I cant get the error code because my computer restarts before i can see it. I have automatic updates on and my computer downloads them and installs them

Upgraded my XP notebook to Vista business last week. I've noticed that Explorer has slowed down considerably. For example; loading My Computer can take 15-20 seconds or opening the dialog to save an attachment from Outlook even longer.

The sound is really soft in Vista. Updates says that I have the newest drivers. Intel 82801DB/DMB AC '97 Audio. Would you know of any other driver I could use? I have the volume set to 100 and I can barely hear a thing.

I tried using my 512Mb Kingston DataTraveller USB2.0 flash drive for the Speedboost feature, but the OS responded say something to the effect of 'you drive isn't fast enough/good enough' for this prupose. I'm surprised at this. Is there any indication anywhere of what is required

Norton Partition Magic 8.X comes with Boot Magic for switching between OS's. Do you know if this will work for dual booting XP SP2 and Vista, and avoid the problems with system restore files, etc.

Yesterday I telephoned Microsoft to activate (for the 1000th time!) MS Office. There was a long long pause then a voice said "I'm sorry, sir, all our systems are down at the moment". I fell about laughing.
