Fine and wish the same. iam facing problem in creating recovery disk in windows vista basic, i tried to take a backup of recovery disk from Recovery Manager--> Recovery disk creation for the first time.

Recently I reinstalled Vista. The installation backed-up my previous files & OS. Now I wish to delete these files. Each time I try I'm told I need permission, but I am the administrator. Any help will be gratly appreaciated.

For some strange reason the two little monitors with the red cross remains on when connected to the internet although there is the odd occasion when it does change to show I am connected. Any help please. I have disabled the other network connections as I do not use these.

I've had my laptop (hp pavilion dv6000) for less than 3 months and it's already giving me trouble, but the worst thing is the problem with windows explorer. It usually loads up frozen, I can't click on it or anything, and I have to keep trying every once in a while to restart it ...

I am sitting for 4 or 5 minutes while my system boots. There is a black screen, then the window's progress bar (RAM check?) and then the desktop shows with no icons. Then the screen blinks TWICE to black and finally I see my icons. But the computer is not ready to use yet.

I installed 4GB on Asus AS8-X with Vista X64 Home Premium. Obviously. I only see 3GB of memory. Another group said to move memory mapping around the hole in BIOS. I did this but Vista X64 crashes every time. Has anyone else had luck in getting full use of all memory?
