I am using Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
I have been dutifully backing up all my data files every week using the
Backup and Restore console.  All of a sudden, the hard drive gives out
on my laptop.  The company sends me a replacement, which I install.  The

I've had my computer for about two months now. It came with Windows Vista. I
installed Norton antivirus on it right away. For the past month it's been
crashing almost every other day.
I have no idea what is going on. I asked a Dell tech and they said to run

     I've tried restoring my HP laptop a few times with System Restore using
different checkpoints and the same error message comes up afterward.

I receive an error "an error is preventing this slide show from playing"
The settings are pointed at users\username\pictures
If I change to settings to ANY of the subfolders slide show works.
File types within the folders have been verified.

auto update is set to install updates at 3:am each day.  I went in and also
clicked for microsoft to look for updates for other programs also.  It
immediately showed be that there were several other important updates  
-several of them were for office 2007 which is not installed ...

Is it possible to change the drive where system restore points are saved by
Vista?
I have a small but very fast C: drive, where windows and programs are
installed, and a larger but slower E: drive, where I store data and files.

Help!! Each tome i log onto the internet i get a small square pop up saying
hkcu. I click on ok then the box reappears and so i click ok again and then
it finally allows me onto the site.

Since I first startet it my Windows Vista Home Premium has problems with
sharing my RAM with more than one process.
If I just open one application like 3d max, I can use my full 2GB of RAM.
