I don't understand why people don't like vista.  I have had less issues
with my vista than I ever did with my xp.  Anyway I do have two issues
that maybe someone can help me with.  
First, I have a card reader that is hooked up to the usb internal port.

hi all,
i have a brand new vista machine 3GB ram on a t61p thinkpad and were talking
5 min boot time.  I have even reformatted to just vista and removing all
lenovo junk and the system is still slow as molasses.  I want to love MSFT

I have a folder named "Mutimedia" its size is 3 GB and it contains a lot of
files (mp3, rm, wav, ...).
Many times when I open this folder, I got "Windows Explorer has stopped
working" message and the folder stopped working.

At same Time the Task manager will have between 60 and 95%

Hey peeps and peepette, just wondering if it is normal for an instance
of svchost.exe [in vista 64] to use just under 200, 000 K of ram?
I'm sure it's never been this much before... Last week or so I've
noticed it's been quite high.

After I installed Vista SP1, my internet connections disappeared, my Sidebar
doesn't work right, and other problems.
When I tried to uninstall SP1, It would log off, and complete(?) the first
two stages of the service pack uninstall.

I have two computers running Vista Home Premium.  When Service Pack 1 came
out, my desktop, which is a clone I built myself, downloaded and installed
Service Pack 1 without any problem, but my Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop seems
oblivious to Service Pack 1's existence. Although ...

I would urge you all to check and see if system restore is correctly
configured. I installed SP1 some weeks ago and have just discovered
that SR was set to monitor a C drive which was listed as missing.
Another C drive was listed as 'system' - this (correct) drive was not

Help - whenever I try to backup my files onto an external hard drive using
backup and restore centre in Vista, I get the message 'The system cannot find
the path specified (0x80070003)'.  All data backed up fine the first time I
used the drive, but nothing will back up now..... ...

i have to reinstall sp1 because of a system restore, apparently i need  a
new nvidia g force driver, so i need install that first?  then do i disable
ca anti virus on downloading?  what about spy bot, lavasoft or windows
defender,?  lavasoft and spybot only run on command, ...
Screen Freezes when holding down a key17 May 2008 01:11 GMT1
I just made a new PC with a buddy of mine, obviously with Vista Home Edition
on it. The problem is that when I hold any key down the screen freezes,
sometimes after 2 seconds and sometimes after 10 seconds and anywhere in
between, but only for as long as I hold the key down.

Hope I can get this question on before this $3,000 computer crashes again
from the vista issues. I keep getting blue screen and crashes with different
problems listed. Does anyone know what these file paths could mean and how to
fix it?

08, but still comes as an update, there were some issues and had to do a
system restore safe mode, did that delete it?  amd athlon 64 x2 4600 vista
home premium, nvidia 6150 le, i e7,  2 gif ram, 2-160 hds, ...
