So I have a fax that failed to send. I see in the Windows Fax and Scan applet that the status is "retrying"; also by waiting patiently I see that it will retry in about ten minutes. But... 1. How can I set the retry interval or the number of retries?

Is there a way to view thumbnails of the fax pages in a separate pane in Windows Vista Fax and Scan? This would give the user a quick overview of the whole fax and hopefully allow us to move, edit, annotate, or delete individual pages of the fax?

Windows Fax and Scan has very few cover pages. Is there a way to convert existing Symantec WinFax cover sheets to work in Windows Vista Fax and Scan, including preservation of the proper data input fields?

When I print from IE7 on Vista the page that comes out only contains a header and a footer. In the footer there is reference to "file://C:/temp\Low/<randomString>.htm" which I guess is some sort of temp file that it creates. The same page is seen even when I do a print preview.

I go to the control center and add a new network printer. The search finds the printer I want, but when I try to print a test page there is an unknown error and the printer never acknowledges that a document was sent. Please help!

Fax works fine with no problems but if I try to scan via Fax & Scan then I get a "no scanners were detected..." message and there does not seem to be any option to set a default scanner. I have a Canon USB scanner with the latest Vista drivers and Vista Business.

The Windows Vista Fax and Scan 'Cover Page Designer' is pretty rudimentary. Can the user design cover pages in another program that includes rulers, grid snap, and other helpful features? Afterwards, the user could import it into 'Windows Fax and Scan' in order to make minor ...

Why not allow the user to add folders to 'Windows Fax and Scan' and then allow them to move and organize sent and received faxes? Another better option might be to let the user view the fax log directely from within Outlook 2007 and then allow the user to archive fax messages in ...

I was able to install a networked printer to my Vista Ultima machine. However, when I try to print the test page, it reports "Test page failed to print. ... Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000007a)." FYI, I am able to print to the printer using another XP computer.

I use Vista Business. At first fax was fine then suddenly when I send a fax, e.g. a Word document, the recipient gets a blank page and sure enough when a check the preview there is a blank page or I get the message that Vista cannot generate a preview.

My printer works (prints a test page) if I right click the icon and run as an Administrator. If, however I try to print a test page without being an administrator, then the message is "Access is denied".

Can a PC running Vista Home Basic wirelessly print to a printer connected to another computer on a home network that is running XP? If so, How do I set it up. Nothing I have tried works. Thanks
