Vista fax: how to set retry parameters or send immediately?08 Jun 2007 22:13 GMT3
So I have a fax that failed to send. I see in the Windows Fax and Scan
applet that the status is "retrying"; also by waiting patiently I see
that it will retry in about ten minutes. But...
1. How can I set the retry interval or the number of retries?
Viewing thumbnails of fax pages? - 2nd Request08 Jun 2007 20:43 GMT3
Is there a way to view thumbnails of the fax pages in a separate pane in
Windows Vista Fax and Scan?  This would give the user a quick overview of
the whole fax and hopefully allow us to move, edit, annotate, or delete
individual pages of the fax?

I'm using a Xerox Phaser 6100 and connecting to it via the ethernet port on
my computer. It prints everything fine, but then when I restart the computer
it insists on printing everything again, so I get into the office each

Converting WinFax cover sheets? - 2nd Request08 Jun 2007 18:22 GMT2

existing Symantec WinFax cover sheets to work in Windows Vista Fax and Scan,
including preservation of the proper data input fields?

I sent my question to the Epson Connection but received in part the
IE7 Prints Only header/Footer08 Jun 2007 11:59 GMT1
When I print from IE7 on Vista the page that comes out only contains a header
and a footer.  In the footer there is reference to
"file://C:/temp\Low/<randomString>.htm" which I guess is some sort of temp
file that it creates.  The same page is seen even when I do a print preview.

Network Printer Vista not communicating08 Jun 2007 00:03 GMT1

Fax works fine with no problems but if I try to scan via Fax & Scan then I
get a "no scanners were detected..." message and there does not seem to be
any option to set a default scanner.
I have a Canon USB scanner with the latest Vista drivers and Vista Business.
Can cover pages be designed in other programs?07 Jun 2007 23:44 GMT1
The Windows Vista Fax and Scan 'Cover Page Designer' is pretty rudimentary.
Can the user design cover pages in another program that includes rulers,
grid snap, and other helpful features?  Afterwards, the user could import it
into 'Windows Fax and Scan' in order to make minor ...
Add folder, move and organize faxes07 Jun 2007 23:42 GMT1
Why not allow the user to add folders to 'Windows Fax and Scan' and then
allow them to move and organize sent and received faxes?  Another better
option might be to let the user view the fax log directely from within
Outlook 2007 and then allow the user to archive fax messages in ...
