I have just started working with Beta 2 of Vista and have been trying to fix a problem I've found with the ActiveX control I'm developing that only happens when running IE in Protected Mode and after some debugging, I believe is related to the file virtualization feature.

I have installed Avast 4.7 Home On Vista 5381 and it seems to work upto a point, all it's processes are running but I have no Taskbar icon, it's not hidden, it's just not there! Has anyone else run into this?

we have the requirement to sign an executable in order to ba Vista-approved (whatever the official term is). Consider me a complete newbie in this. I haven't even sen Vista yet.
