When I boot up, the UAC box asks for permission to run my netgear wireless
adapter. I say continue and everything is fine. It is somewhat annoying
though. Can I have this program run without it asking for permission?

Please tell me how to ALLOW windows defender to open? I always have a message
in the "notification space" that a program was blocked and it is windows
defender on boot up. It says it is not turned "on" but when i open it is set

1) Since I haveAdmin rights on both computers in a workgroup, why can't I
access the administrative shares? It prompts me for password, which I
provide and rejects. That used to work in previous versions. If I define my
own administrative shares (with $), it works fine.

  I am new to vista and uac. We have an app that was written under
vs2003 (windows). When the app runs normally it has a problem creating
and  writing to network directories. I've gotten around this to some
extent by having the app run as administrator by default. Of course

I have a problem that some internet sites gets blocked by the Windows
Firewall. This occurs randomly, pages like http://www.gmail.com will give the
error that the page cannot be found, but other sites work fine. When I turn
the firewall off... the sites work 100%.
