my problem is this:
i have blocked startup programs and when i right click the icon, and go to
"show or remove blocked startup programs" the Software Explorer of Windows
Defender shows up. from there i go to the blocked program and i want to click

Here is a Vista Remote Desktop problem we are having.  It affects every Vista
machine I have seen on our network.  I believe this is going to be a tough
one…..
Remote machine – Vista Enterprise on Windows 2003 AD network.

So in Vista's ultimate wisdom, it decided that two songs a friend sent to me
through MSN are viruses. I tried to change the security setting as per the
instructions given to me but they didn't work and the songs  appear to not be
anywhere at all. Any suggestions?

I've set up a Windows Vista standard user account for a foreign student
staying with us, and found he can access all the files on my 'C' drive. Is
there some way this access can be blocked? Thanks a lot.

i have just brought a new computer with Vista Ultimate and have had nothing

I have two user accounts on Vista Home Pro.
One is a standard, limited user account (password protected) and the other
is my admin account (obviously with admin privileges and password
protected).

protection provided by Windows Defender.  Will there be any adverse effect on
my home PC if an additional real-time anti-spyware is installed as double

I uninstalled Norton 360. I installed AVG and when the installation
completed, there was 1 error.  The Windows Firewall was not turned on.  I can
not get the Security Center to turn on the Firewall.  It will not update the
Settings for the Firewall either.

I am trying to install a program that requires a password to use. It appears
that Vista is blocking the setting of the password. Any idea what i am
referring to ?
